Teaching in Ghana

Penpal writing club in Ghana!

Thrilling!  My interview with Chris Christensen about volunteering in Ghana has just been published on Chris’s world-famous site, Amateur Traveler Podcast!

For the full interview homepage on Amateur Traveler, click here, my dear.

Or, if your finger is a tad lazy, the entire interview can be played right here, by clicking this button:

Amateur Traveler Episode 234 – Travel to Ghana

If this chat whets your appetite, there are over 90 articles on this very blog with tons more details and photos from Ghana right here.

And don’t miss the 31 amazing Ghana student articles found by clicking here.

The three months I spent in Ghana was the most awesome and fascinating time of my nine months around the world, and I would love for you to browse the articles and leave comments!  My former students colleagues at Youth Creating Change of Ghana check back on this site frequently (internet permitting) and get a real thrill out of reading the comments you leave.  The folks at YCC are so great that they could inspire a stone!

Hooray about the interview, hooray for Ghana and YCC, and thanks for reading, listening, and interacting!

  1. I listened to your interview, i liked the way you pronounce the Ghanian’s names “segaakopee” “Taamalee” ha!. Good interview and good review of the place.

    • Aww Thapelo! You are right– my pronunciation is ridiculous. But as Ghanaians would say, with a smile (when I attempted something wholeheartedly and failed spectacularly): “You are trying!”

  2. Thanks so much, Jeffrey! T’was an honor to be on the show.

  3. Just listened to the Amateur Traveler and really enjoyed your interview!
