My Face Is on a Restaurant Advertisement in Africa?!

WHOA! Without my knowledge, I have become the face of a restaurant advertisement in West Africa?!

Late last night I received a shocking message from my friend Alicia, who had been traveling in Africa. “Lillie!” the message read, “Flying down the street in the car on my way to Bojo Beach in Ghana, we passed this sign. I screamed out loud, ‘I KNOW THAT GIRL!’ Are you aware that you are the face [...Read More!]

Which Types of Posts Go Viral? 10 Examples of the Year.

Using the magic of Google Analytics, a website owner like myself can, at any time, peep at a live map of who is on which pages of her blog.

For example, right now I can see that there is a visitor to my site from Australia, and two people are reading my new baby photos article.

Seeing these stats swirl and shift is more exciting for blogging geeks like me than watching a live [...Read More!]

Delicious Video: Sunset Dinner at a Hawaii Resort

It was a five course dinner on the Big Island of Hawaii, relished as the sun set over the ocean and our soon-to-be-son kicked my belly from the inside. The food was so good that I couldn’t resist making my first ever video for this site. Do click it, and enjoy my cheesy narration!

So what do you think? What would have been your favorite part of the meal (taste-wise or visually)? [...Read More!]

Autumn Leaves, Unplugging, and Living on a Pond Raft

As you saw in my recent fall foliage article, I was in the heart-stoppingly gorgeous middle-of-nowhere, New Hampshire for my birthday. Throughout the weekend, the theme of “unplugging” and “being cut off from civilization” recurred… in part because my husband‘s friend decided to live for 24 hours on a raft and boat.

Let us call this friend “Cory” to mask his identity. See that lake in the photo, above? See the raft forty [...Read More!]
