It was a five course dinner on the Big Island of Hawaii, relished as the sun set over the ocean and our soon-to-be-son kicked my belly from the inside. The food was so good that I couldn’t resist making my first ever video for this site. Do click it, and enjoy my cheesy narration!
So what do you think? What would have been your favorite part of the meal (taste-wise or visually)? What questions or comments do you have? Do share!
Dinner was generously provided by Ulu Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hualalai but all opinions, pirate jokes, and baby kicks are my own.

Your video reminds me of the sunset dinner we at the Four Seasons Bora Bora recently. The seared tuna looks amazing!
Micki (The Barefoot Nomad) says
Oh, what a beautiful view! I’d go for just that!

I’m completely drooling after that! The corn and coconut soup sounds delicious and the fish looked outrageously delicious. Of course, not only did the food look incredible, but you can’t beat dinner during the sunset!

mmmm all looks so good!

I’m not a big sunset person myself, but Franca is. I know that she would have raced you both to the table to get the best spot, and on top of that look how great the food is. I know she’d love it.
Freya says
WoW what a gorgeous place and the food looks delicious, great video.

How very cool. Thanks so much for sharing. I love the ocean and always love watching the sun set anywhere but especially over the water. It’s on my bucket list to see a Hawaiian sunset. Your video has just increased my desire, but hopefully it will sate my appetite for at least a little longer while we work up to it.
Lillie says
Yes! 🙂

Hi Lillie. I spent the past hour catching up with you. David and I shared lunch yesterday and he gave me a brief update
regarding your exotic travels. It was nice to see your initial video because my wife and I stayed at the same hotel in 09.
However, I want to offer my Congratulations to both you and your husband. Your lucky child will be blessed with the gift of loving parents. Both of my children are expanding their families as well. Enjoy the remainder of your holiday and
have a safe return to JP.
Be well,
Mr C
Lillie says
Thanks so much, Mr. C! What a delight to hear from you, and SO COOL that you also stayed at this resort. Let’s be in touch!

Hey Lillie, glad to see you’re diving head first into video. It’s not an easy thing to tackle by any means. One quick tip I have for you is to add in a quiet/soothing/relaxing music track to the video. It should be loud enough to take us through the video, yet quiet enough that we can hear your voiceovers loud and clear. Adding music will really help to seal the gaps and carry everyone through the video. Keep up the good work.
Lillie says
Thanks, Ryan! Another few hours of iMovie exploration for me… 🙂
