A “Photobomb” is defined as the act of secretly posing in the background of someone else’s photo with a ridiculous face or action. Photobombs may be perpetrated against strangers or loved ones alike, and may not be detected until days after the photo is taken.

When discovered, a Photobomb may leave the victim screaming: “NO WAY! I didn’t even see him back there!” Leave it to my “little” brother, David (you know, the six-foot seven-inch one) to find the best place in the world to Photobomb. It was December of last year during our India teacher tour, and we had just climbed the mountain to the Amer palace in Jaipur on elephants. Suddenly David’s eyes lit up and he raced towards a giant wall of mirrors.

It took me a while to realize what David was evilly doing. As tourists from around the world posed for photos in front of this gorgeous wall, David stood precisely where his funny-face reflected in the mirror at the top of the photo. For months to come, people around the world will open their India photos and scream, “WHO THE HECK IS THAT?” Well played, brother.

Ha ha! I’ve been there and remember being a bit frustrated I couldn’t get a photobomb-free shot but hadn’t thought of it in this light: the best place in the world to do a funny photobomb. Love it!

Hilarious! I’ve been guilty of photobombing… I even manage to jump into photos my 12-year-old kid takes. It drives her crazy, but I think it’s really funny:)
