Exactly a year ago, I was spending Thanksgiving alone in Northern Thailand, quietly eating stir-fried vegetables in a Chiang Mai restaurant. It wasn’t lonely or bad, honestly. But that said, I truly appreciated that this year I could spend America’s special Stuff Yourself Holiday with beloved family and friends in New York and Philadelphia!
Now on to the contest promised by the heading of this article.
During our New York Thanksgiving awesomeness, my cousin Doug concocted a truly remarkable dish, which was also deeply mysterious. The contest I propose to you is simple: The first reader to correctly identify, from the following photos, this mystery food that Doug created (with perfect sentence construction and ample details) WINS!
The Honorable Mention will go to the three commenters with the most creative interpretations of Doug’s Mystery Food shown in these pictures. FYI, If you click on a photo it will enlarge for your viewing pleasure. On your marks, get set… GO!

I was tricked into thinking the cauliflower was a loaf of bread! >.< I have to say, it looks so good. For Thanksgiving, I'm going to do that to trick my parents into thinking cauliflower as a dessert!
Triston X. says
The dish is so creative I am not a big fan of cauliflower. I am surprised that you said the cauliflower is good. The cauliflower looked like some sort of meat at first.

Ms.Marshall this article reminds me of the Publication Celebration we had a couple days ago. They are similar because they both have a variety of food to choose from. In the Publication Celebration we had chips, cookies, and James’s cookie dough YUM!!!. Whereas in here you can have fruits, veggies, grains, and meat.

A forest of cauliflower showing its true colors in the fall. Yellow and orange leaves reappear as the green slowly fades away. Surrounding them are bushes of garnishes and a river of lemon juice.
Rayshawn says
In your reply to comment 8 you wrote fro and not for if I’m correct.
Lillie says
Gasp! You’re right! Too bad I don’t have my own personal English teacher to scream about the importance of proofreading… or maybe I do, in the form of YOU! Great eye, Rayshawn.
Daniel says
This food is so weird and unique. It looks like a cake and stuffing at the same time. I think that this is a stuffing cake because of texture. The outside looks crusty, and it looks puffy at the same time too. That is why I think it is a stuffing cake.
Lillie says
I think we have a winner for the Most Creative prize!

It looks like oven-roasted cauliflower. It also looks tasty!

For the record, that wasn’t hot butter….it was actually a cocktail of lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. Good luck with the contest, folks! Chef Doug
