Crazy Video: Our Baby Dancing Inside My Pregnant Belly

Pregnant bellies do such weird things...

Pregnant bellies do such weird things… There’s a photo of my watermelon torso at 8.6 months.

Pregnancy is so weird, sometimes I wonder what other mammals must think of it. On what level is a female aardvark, for example, aware that she is carrying a tiny aardvark-ito inside her fleshy belly? Does she just assume she has ongoing indigestion and is randomly getting fatter, until that day when her infant-vark suddenly pops out?

I bring this up in particular because it’s hard to ignore the subject of the video below: a pregnant mammal’s baby moving inside the womb forcefully enough so the mama-to-be, as well as anyone nearby, can see.

Our baby is HIGHLY active in utero, so this dance happens within my torso every few hours. It feels kind of like when your stomach flips as you zoom down a roller coaster… except it lasts way longer. As you watch the crazy 35-second video of my baby rockin’ out inside my belly, ponder: what must a lady manatee think of such sensations???

While I am happy for my baby creating friends and colleagues, all I have to say is, "NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE."
