Handsome Male Travel Clothes: prAna Review

Much is said about travel fashion for the ladies, but what about male clothes for the road? Happily, both my husband and I got to try out some apparel from a hot company during our 7 day Ireland road trip, and here are the dramatic results.

The hot company in question is called prAna, and you may recall that they are the makers of the pants and dress I can't stop wearing.

Recently, my husband Colin became seethingly jealous of my cool attire, and so I was relieved to learn that prAna has an entire men's clothing line. Phew! The plan was set that Colin and I would order clothes for BOTH of us for our Ireland trip.

For myself, I ordered another prAna sweater dress, pictured below. Sweater dresses are my official sanity-saver during this insane Boston winter. I throw them on over leggings and am fancy, comfy, and warm at work.

This sweater dress also proved brilliant for the famously "crisp" Ireland air. The dresses may be a tad bulky in one's suitcase, but it's worth it to take at least one during a trip to a nippy locale.

Meanwhile, Colin got an ingenious triumvirate of shirts. Below, you see his "slim fit" blue piece that proved just perfect for looking dapper whilst wheeling around the suitcase of a spouse.

Next, Colin got a shirt that is now his number one favorite clothing item of all time: a thick, zipping cardigan with big stripes. Doesn't it look majestic in the stained-glass-lit light of the Bunratty Castle throne?

Finally, my guy ordered this khaki-colored sweater, pictured here in mid-jump at Ireland's Cliffs of Moher. To go with his shirts, Colin also got a style of pants from prAna called the "Rawkus Pant."

Whenever he wore them (which was pretty much every day of the trip), some form of ruckus occurred. Was the ruckus caused by the handsomeness of the pant? We may never know.

For my final outfit of the trip, I got very trendy: My first ever skinny corduroys! In bright red. Expect to see more of these pants on this blog, as they're a perfect match for my trademark leaps across the sky. Bright crimson legs, ahoy! The purple shirt is also prAna, and is ultra-thin, but warm and pretty... and has a hood!

To close, if a man you know is going on a trip soon, I recommend he take a page from Colin's book in terms of what to pack. The combination of a button-down, thick cardigan, and mid-weight sweater (paired, of course with a durable but classy pant that falls somewhere high on the ruckus spectrum) covers most of the bases for a destination like Ireland in February.
